My Story

I'm Samantha and I'm the one woman team behind Hunt and Gather Photography. As a mother and business owner I specialise in being a frazzled mess 90% of the time. 

The early years of parenthood are hard and while the days drag on the years fly by, sometimes going past in a blur we just cant hold on to. Enter a professional photographer to help you stop time from stealing all of your memories.

My passion for capturing families began in the depths of lockdown in an attempt to entertain myself and capture my growing and rapidly changing daughters. 

From there the business grew organically into what I have today. 

With a background in Fine Arts I specialise in capturing artful connection. We'll take the photo of everyone looking at the camera but what I'd rather capture is you playing, interacting and loving your family. To show you just how beautiful you are by capturing you through the frame your children see. 

Parenthood is the biggest journey of this life and the greatest gift we can leave our children is the memories of us. The way your hand ran through their hair, eskimo kisses, a squishy hug, and games of whispers. The memories of love.
